Stars on Ice - EL: Her name is Sophie, she's 4 years old, and totally precocious. The first morning we practiced together, she told me, "I'm not a morning person!" She was cracking me up the whole time we were skating.

Stars on Ice - RS: Thank you so much. I enjoyed the pro competitions. They were instrumental in helping to build the sport to the level it is today. It's too bad there aren't more of those now for this generation, because it keeps those competitive juices honed over the years. Plus they got great TV ratings and gave the audience at home more of a chance to follow our careers and get to know us.

Stars on Ice - EL: I will, of course, be attending Vera Wang's show on Tuesday, Feb. 15. As for the rest of my week in New York, I am pretty much booked as an ambassador for RISE, which premiers nationwide on Feb. 17. And then eventually running back to KeyArena for Stars on Ice (Feb. 25).

Stars on Ice - RS: I did quite a bit of guest coaching, and enjoyed the kids and what I learned about skating by being on the other side. I'm not really doing any more teaching. Did I mention that I'm sick of being cold?

what about not doing a quad and the changes in the system that encourage quads like more points- beating plushenko without a quad sent the message not to do quads and was technical regression and victory for being a chicken and not doing hard moves. You tried one at nationals why not at the olympics. It was the Olympics? Plushenko did two and takahashi tried one - why not you? you tried one a few weeks before??

Stars on Ice - EL: I think it's very interesting that the Europeans were at the forefront of battling for the increase of value with the quad, yet at 2011 Europeans, the winner did not do a quad. In fact, very few men still are doing them.
