Evan Lysacek probably won't be sent home tonight on Dancing With the Stars.

Even so, he can't help but think of the inevitable day when his time with DWTS comes to an end.

"I'm dreading whenever it's over for us," the Olympic gold medalist told me earlier today. "I'm just dreading it. I've been an individual athlete for so long. I've never had this family atmosphere in skating…It's relationships that I will never, ever forget."

It's a really emotional experience…We've heard from everyone on the show that this is the closest cast they've ever had. We're the tightest they've ever had.

I have to ask: What is going on with Cheryl and Chad?

I don't think any of us really know…Anna [Trebunskaya] and I leave during the week. We're not here, so there might be stuff going on that I have no idea about.

Is there a requirement that the guys have to show some chest at some point? It seems like it's more and more every week.

I'm pretty shy. I showed a little skin last night and that was a big step.

How's your head feeling?

It's definitely almost 100 percent better. My neck is still a little stiff, but it's not a big deal.

They're good. This is the first week I haven't had to really put strong tape on them. They're much better.

So about that perfect 30. Did you know when you were dancing that you and Anna had nailed it?

I felt like that was the best we had done, and lucky for us, we have the same mentality about competition. We thrive on that moment. We really stepped it up when the lights came on.
